Twenty-three years ago I gave birth to my 4th child, a son. He arrived on his due date and was the baby of the family for 8 years, until his younger brother came along. From the beginning he always had his own way of doing things and his own timetable for doing them. He is the child I would vote as "the most likely to surprise me"; whether that be building a campfire in his bedroom at age 3 or constructing an entire coat of hand-made chain mail or taking a bus to Boston.

His mischievous boyhood grin evolved into a more reserved yet often mysterious countenance that always kept us guessing as to what he was up to! His quirky sense of humor added to our family life and occasionally he let us see glimpses of a deep and compassionate heart. He has always been a hard worker and one we could rely on to get a job done. He is creative in amazing ways, whether building a wine barrel fountain, doing Scottish Country dancing or writing a children's book. Not surprisingly he found himself a beautiful bride, and our loss is her gain! I know he will be a hard working and devoted husband.

Timothy, you have been a great blessing to me and all of our family; you bring us much joy and now you have brought us Jessica as well! I pray for God's blessing upon you today and always!

Some of that quirky sense of humor...

Happy Birthday, Timothy!
